ZAC works with women at micro level, women play an important part in development, They play a major role in the communities by virtue of the family responsibilities. in the current economic difficulties where we find a lot unemployment high levels. A woman takes the responsibility of looking after the families. However it is easily noted that many of these women have no source of livelihood to meet the demands of looking after their families. We therefore promote women empowerment programs which seek to economically empower women to meet this growing need of family life.

In this regard we have been running micro credit and entrepreneurship programs to the less privileged members of the communities, inclusive of men so as to promote self sufficiency in homes.  This is done through formation of small cooperative groups who are involved in income generation activities. These include livestock farming, gardening and sausage making.
